Notes:
At a Glance: Women’s Earth Alliance (WEA) is a coalition of grassroots women environmental advocates from around the world who are engaging in collective action. WEA facilitates access to communication tools, support services, networking capabilities, and face-to-face exchanges, thereby helping to develop a united agenda for impacting environmental (and social) change at the local and global level. As environmental degradation deepens worldwide, the need for strengthened community and collaborative approaches is becoming increasingly essential across the globe. WEA believes that providing women the opportunity to reach their full potential as environmental stewards will facilitate a critical shift toward positive ecological and social change.

Best for: The environmental feminist.

Standout Features: Women’s Earth Alliance combines environmental and social activism from around the world in the hopes of enacting ecological change. Each phase of WEA's work has a critical purpose—to connect and build networks between women working on environmental issues. WEA holds international conferences, regional training workshops, transformative advocacy exchanges, and builds global communications platforms. This site also offers opportunities for getting involved with the global women’s environmental movement.

Keep in Mind: Women’s Earth Alliance grew out of a network launched in 2005, called Women’s Global Green Action Network. This group shared a common concern – the lack of networking and support services available at the grassroots level, where environmental challenges are most pressing. As this is a relatively new non-profit organization, the website design is lacking professionalism and there is a "soft" ask for monetary donations.
