UMD's LEAFHouse SaraFM - Go Green: A Resource Guide
The Basics:
Title: LEAFHouse
Author: University of Maryland
URL: http://solarteam.org/page.php?id=250
Date: October 2007

Notes:
At a Glance: LEAFHouse is the University of Maryland team's entry in the US Department of Energy solar house competition on the National Mall, October 12-20, 2007. This website shows a house that is completely powered by the sun. The house won first place in the People's Choice Award and second place overall. Browse the site to see architecture, energy systems, cost, and how to build your own. From the website: "LEAFHouse incorporates both systems available to consumers today, as well as new products being developed."

Best for: People who would like to build a solar home.

Standout Features: This house was built by fellow Terps! It shows that homeowners can indeed get off the local grid.

Keep in Mind: Even though this house was a UMD project, and this wiki resource guide was started as a UMD project, the LEAFHouse site was chosen for its excellent information, not the fact that it comes from a superior University :)
