Notes:
At a Glance: The green book gives simple and easy ways to help incorporate green living into your daily lifestyle. It tries to "create solutions that are easy to understand and accessible." The book is not idealistic and admits that most of it's readers can be selfish consumers, however, it tries to find small ways in which everyone can be more environmentally friendly. For those who are fascinated by celebrities and Hollywood, the green book has blurbs from many of today's most popular stars on how they try to be "more green".

Best for: The average, everyday consumer who is looking for small ways in which they can incorporate being green into their current lifestyle. The aspect of "going green" that this is best suited for is as a general lifestyle guide on how to be green.

Standout Features: The most stand out feature of this book is how easy it is to follow and read. It makes it very easy for a consumer to want to "go green".

The chapters cover all aspects of everyday living from home to school to sports. Each chapter starts with "The Big Picture", which tells how "going green" in that particular area affects the greater environment. This is followed by a section on "The Simple Steps", which give examples of small things that consumers can do to make a difference. The last section is "The Little Things", which gives a more detailed look at what you can do and change to make your life more environmentally friendly.

Example: In the Shopping Chapter, in "The Simply Steps" section, the authors give you three easy ways to be greener. First, try to buy products that use minimal packaging. Second, choose paper instead of plastic when checking out and third, buy bathroom tissue that is made up of 100 percent recycled paper.

The reference section at the end of the book has a list of all the websites in which it compiled its information. They are categorized and arranged in the same way as the books chapters.

Keep in Mind: While one of the book's author Elizabeth Rogers, is an environmental consultant, the book is very "Hollywood" centered, including a foreword by Cameron Diaz. Each chapter also ends with a quote from a famous celebrity on how they try to be "more green".
