Notes:At a Glance: Well, where does a lot of waste occur and where do people spend a good portion of their time? The answer is dinning out. Green Restaurant Association (GRA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit national environmental organization that was founded in 1990.The GRA aims to help restaurants and its customers become more environmentally sustainable in cost-effective ways. The GPA does research, consulting, education, marketing, and consumer activism.
Best for: This site is definitely for the fully dedicated environmental activist whether they own a restaurant or want everyone from the indivdual restaurant to his/her favorite food chain to join in the cause.
Standout Features: My favorite thing about this website is that they have Suggestions Cards that you can give to the manager of your favorite restaurants or eateries to spread the word about Going Green! They make is easy too, all you have to do is print the cards out in a PDF format and you are good to go.
Keep in Mind: They will help restaurants become green certified, but they strongly encourage restaurants to use the products they recommend. For example, they recommend napkins and toliet paper that are environmentally friendly from specific companies...this could be because they get support from these companies...
