Green Home Building Guidelines - Go Green: A Resource Guide
The Basics:

Title: Green Home Building Guidelines
Author: The National Association of Home Builders Research Center
URL: www.nahbrc.org/greenguidelines
Date: 2004-2007

Notes:
At a Glance: Anyone trying to reduce the negative environmental impact of their home will find it difficult unless the home is an active and cooperative player. These guidelines, set out by the National Association of Home Builders, outline how to build better homes by examining the environmental impact, the best building practices, and the ease of implementation of methods of construction.

Best for: This website is aimed at homebuilders, however, many of the ideas are easily implemented by homeowners post-construction.

Standout Features: Every idea presented here is followed by the sources the NAHBRC used to justify it, leading to an extremely well-researched and well-presented set of guidelines.

Keep in Mind: Many of the ideas presented are new ways of constructing homes, but as such, they may not continue to remain the best ways in the future. The NAHB points this out, and states the need for continuing research.
