home - Go Green: A Resource Guide

The Basics:
Title: Good Green Homes Author: Jennifer Roberts
URL: Amazon or find it at your local library.
Date: 2003

Notes:
At a Glance: The book offers general tips and ideas for building or remodeling a green home. It offers answers to important questions about starting a green lifestyle, and keeps in mind budget constraints that some people might have. And there are six out of nine customers rated it as highly as five stars at Amazon.com.

Best for: This resource is great for homeowners because it is a simple and to the point, but it is also in depth in it's analysis of the issues it tackles. Also, there are many included photographs and diagrams to help envision what your green home will actually look like.

Standout Features: The ability of the book to convey that being green doesn't mean that you will live in a strange or ugly house, or that you need to be rich. The photographs and descriptions throughout are enticing to anyone thinking about going green.

Keep in Mind: There are better books for a practical guide to the green home. Check out some of the books listed by Amazon and by reviews. Also, the book is 4 years old; there are new innovations in green living that will not be included and should be considered.
