Notes:
At a Glance:
We are almost always drawn to the authority of government resources, despite our own political affiliations. As a resource for general environmental action, the EPA is reliable. This site acknowledges that citizens are proactive in their efforts for a healthy environment and encourages them to be so. The site gives a really wide array of information, from government policies on environmental issues, protecting children from harmful environmental hazards, to opportunities to get involved locally.

Best for: Anyone from kids to adults to groups with really any level of interest.

Standout Features: The accessibility of the site for almost all audiences, combined with its inherent reliability and tremendous amount of information on various aspects of green living, make it a good resource. There are resources for groups and non-profits (including information on how to get grants), information for individuals and families, and a nice kids' page.

Keep in Mind: The EPA provides a pretty extensive site which may seem a tad overwhelming. It's not a site to be taken in all at once.
