| The Basics: Title: Building Materials Reuse Association Author: Building Materials Reuse Association URL: http://www.buildingreuse.org/ Date: 2006 Notes: At a Glance: "The Building Materials Reuse Association (BMRA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational and research organization whose mission is to facilitate building deconstruction and the reuse / recycling of recovered building materials." This quote taken from the website tells us what the BMRA does - this is great for having a green home because the site has a directory that allows you to search or browse for companies and organizations in your area that reuse building materials. Also contains a resources page with links to articles and other websites about deconstruction and building green. Best for: Finding a local company or organization to help you build a green home by using recycled building materials. Standout Features: The conglomeration of resources and links into one place makes this a great place to start in the attempt to reuse building materials in a house construction project. Keep in Mind: The BMRA is an organization, and thus it will attempt to advance the goals of its members. While these goals seem to be consistent with the mission of our site, care should be taken when looking at member's sites before going to them for help with a green project.
