Notes:
At a Glance: ATTRA provides information and other technical assistance to farmers, ranchers, extension agents, educators, and others involved in sustainable agriculture in the United States. It provides reports written by agricultural specialists on various aspects of sustainable farming (available freely to anyone), as well as a compilation of past reports responding to individual queries from agricultural professionals or researchers.
Best for: Anyone involved (especially directly) in farming in a sustainable manner who needs dependable, well-researched and up-to-date information on anything from pest management to marketing.
Standout Features: “Ask a Sustainable Agriculture Expert” is a free service available to U.S. commercial farmers and ranchers, agricultural educators, and organizations who work directly with farmers. If you fall into one of these categories and your question hasn’t been answered before (there is a way of finding this out), you can call ATTRA toll-free or fill out a web form. A report will be sent to you as soon as possible.
Keep in Mind: The project is funded by donations and a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Their reports are all grounded on scientific research.
