Green Home Resources Home is the safest and happiest place in everybody's mind around the world. However, homes can have a negative impact on both the world outside and the people inside of them if they do not pay enough attention to them. Creating a green home is one of the best ways to guarantee your homes are both healthy to live in and cause minimal damage to the environment. The six sources I have selected are all focused on the "green home" topic. The first three are websites and the other three are books. Theycover most sub-areas in the "green home" topic, which include greening certain rooms in your homes, setting up specific projects about greening homes, limiting and lessening the impacts of your homes to the environment, offering green tips for remodeling your homes, and removingthings in your homes that might do harm to you and your families’ health. Generally speaking, all the resources are, to some extent, reliable and highly rated. I hope all of them will give you an idea about the "green home" as well as the importance of greening your homes and advice on how to do so. Through striking photos and compelling profiles of real homes that are making a difference, Good Green homes tells us that we can create gorgeous, livable homes and environmentally responsible homes at the same time. Green Remodeling  Title: Green Remodeling-Changing the World One Room at a Time Author: David Johnston, Kim Master URL: Find the book at your local library Date: 2004 Why I choose this resource: According to the authors, millions of North Americans remodel their houses every year either for changing lifestyle or updating their old houses. However, renovation can result in adverse effects brought to our homes like indoor air pollution. From Green Remodeling, you would learn how to remodel your houses in a healthy and environment-friendly way. The book starts with the authors’ own story about remodeling house and then introduces many different aspects of green house remodeling in detail. Homes that Heal  Title: Homes That Heal (and those that don’t): How Your Home Could be Harming Your Family’s Health (2rd Edition)Author: Athena Thompson URL: Find the book at your local library Date: 2004 Why I choose this resource: Homes that Heal gives you another view about the importance of greening your house, the health. From this book, you would realize what kinds of specific things in your home would harm your and your loved-ones' health and some of them do contribute to many of the health problems.
