Our class decided that our annotated bibliography on being greener would be geared to the consumer, being a consumer, I decided to choose sources from books and a website that I personally found interesting. My first two sources Green Living and the green book are both books that look at the general ways a consumer can change their lifestyles to reflect greener living. However, they present the material in very different ways. Green Living is very detailed and comprehensive, it is for someone who is ready to dive in head first into green living. On the other hand, the green book is very simple and easy to ready, it acknowledges that we are not all ready to live a completely green life and focuses on the small steps consumers can make to being greener. My last four sources all focus on how to incorporate being green into both constructive and creative outlets. Many of my hobbies are craft oriented and I enjoy trying new ways to be creative. I like that these last sources not only give you great creativeideas, they also give you great green ideas. Building Green, my third source is a how-to book, which focuses on the techniques and construction ofgreen structures. It give step by step guides on how to use green techniques in building a new home,. My fourth source, Simply Green Gift Giving, is a great book for any one who is creative and enjoys being crafty. It gave me many ideas on how to reuse and recycle my household items and turn them into cards, gifts, and gift wrappings. My fifth source is the book Simply Green Parties it has many examples onhow to throw a party that is not only stylish but also green. The last source that I chose was a web blog titled "Simply Green" by Danny Seo, the author of Simply Green Gift Giving and Simply Green Parties,it includes his many different thoughts on how to be both creative and green. The criteria I used in the justification of my sources is that I looked for books and web pages that were not only relevant to our topic of "being green", but also were current. All of the material I found has been published or created in the last three years. All of the authors of the works that I have chosen are experts in their respective fields and many of them are very highly regarded.
