I chose this resource because it offers specific advice as to how to make your home or office more energy efficient. It provides very simple steps to saving energy, such as replacing your regular lightbulbs with CFLs, a change I have already been able to implement in my own home.


localharvest.org:
I chose this resource because everyone needs to eat, and eating healthy and locally-produced food is a very positive lifestyle choice. I have friends who have participated in CSA's in other states, and I was interested in finding a CSA in Maryland in which I could participate.

Green Living: The E Magazine Handbook for Living Lightly on the Earth (book):
This resource is a comprehensive guides to environmentally-conscious living. While it may not address subtopics in as in depth manner as other resources, its broad coverage allows the user to peruse the resource and pick and choose areas in which to focus his or her green habits. This resource is a good starting point to take steps toward green and sustainable living.

This Consumer Reports site is excellent for keeping up to date on which products are considered green and for reading investigative articles about products. Since most Americans are avid consumers, this site provides information that can be used on a regular basis.
